Amy M. Jones is a photographer and metal sculptor living in Matfield Green, Kansas.
Jones received her first camera as a Christmas gift in 1984 and has rarely been without a camera in her passenger seat since. Capturing the world around her has become a vocation, freezing moments in time and helping the viewer appreciate the beauty in everyday life.

Jones’ love of the Flint Hills led her to relocate to Matfield Green where she can immerse herself in the vastness of the open prairie where earth and sky intertwine.

Her work evokes both the familiar and surprising experience of traversing the rocky backroads (without the fear of a flat tire) where the uncanny stillness of the “empty” prairie may be just as rewarding as the chance encounter with a nesting prairie chicken or a solitary barred owl.
